Twinkle Cakes

Furiously at work on my NaNoWriMo creation, I had to come out of semi-hiatus to post the most ridiculously cute thing I've seen in a long time.

One of my favorite aspects of planning the wedding was picking out the cake. Of course this required rigorous research in tasting, sampling, browsing gorgeous specimens in glossy print mags. And then the wedding came and went, and now I just have memories of that scrumptious vanilla wonder.

Inadvertently filling the void is Twinkle Kids, a company that created a felt "cake" that wee ones with crafty/baking/design aspirations can decorate. And redecorate. And buy a bag of different felt designs and redecorate again! My seventh month old would concur that its almost good enough to eat. So her tastes normally run indiscrimantely from lint to shirt sleeves, but in this case I have to agree.
