Il Cielo

Yesterday I had the honor of attending the wedding of my friends Bobbie and Ted in the absolutely stunning setting of Il Cielo restaurant in Beverly Hills. Bobbie - who I credit for "re"- introducing me to my husband - has a strong connection to Italy, so their choice of this particular restaurant seemed inspired. The night couldn't have been more perfect from the release of the butterflies, freakin Van Hunt performing the song to their first dance, tarot card readers and a portrait artist, lovely staff and the most adorable send-off to the bride and groom I've ever seen:

The guests gathered to throw rose petals on the exiting couple when out of nowhere this cherubic man playing the accordian strolls down our manmade aisle singing "Volare." Next came several of the staff who carried sparklers and surrounded the bride and groom and walked them - singing the whole way - to the hotel across the street. Perfectly lovely way to end a perfectly lovely wedding.
